Rock Island County Republican Chair Bill Bloom and attorney Mike Halpin didn’t find much common ground in this week’s panel discussion on 4 the Record.
Bloom maintains Governor Bruce Rauner was elected for a reason and his turnaround agenda should be implemented.
However, he conceded at this point not all facets of the governor’s wish list are likely if there’s a budget deal.
Halpin held firm to the democratic theme that Rauner’s wasting time holding the budget process at a standstill in exchange for his agenda because his ideas have no budgetary impact.
